My Mum and I purchased Barry as a 5 year old and I have produced him myself. We have had our challenges along the way, but he has proved himself to be an amazing pony. Barry is the bravest and boldest pony I have every ridden cross-country. Our highlight of 2011 was finishing 4th at Weston Park International Pony 2** against a very strong field. In 2012 the plan for Lazy Acres Buccanner will be to compete and achieve good placings at Pony Trials throughout the spring months and to possibly be selected for Team GBR Squad Training and to earn a place on the Team that will compete at the Pony European Championships in Fountainbleu, France. I am also aiming to move up a level from Pony Trials to Open Intermediate Under 21 classes this year. These classes are tougher and bigger in height than Pony Trials and as they are used to select the team for the Junior Europeans so they will help prepare me for when I am too old for the Pony Programme and must move up to the Junior Programme. In the autumn I will aim for the Pony ** class at Weston Park and will hopefully better my 4th placing from last year.
